Starting in the end of August fishing efforts will concentrate in Lincoln City Oregon on the famed Siletz River. Experience Central Oregon Coast History as you see the "Movie House" where Paul Newman, and Henry Fonda filmed the famous movie "Sometimes a Great Notion". Catch Chinook, and Coho Salmon that range from 10 to 50 lbs. As the season progresses fishing efforts move to the Alsea River, Yaquina River, Nestucca River, Trask River, Wilson River, Kilches River, and the Tillimook Bay.
Availability is limited, and prime fishing dates fill up fast.
From August to November fish for Oregon's famous Salmon Run. In August fish in Astoria for Bouy 10 Salmon. From September to November fish for salmon in the Lincoln City Area, South Oregon Coast, and the Northern Oregon Coast. Rivers include the Alsea River, Siletz River, Nestucca River, Trask River, Wilson River, Elk River, Sixes River, and the Kilches river.
From November to April move up the Siletz River, and fish for Steelhead. The Siletz River is world famous for having one of the healthiest Steelhead Fisheries in the Lower United States. It is not uncommon to catch a Steelhead from ten to twenty pounds.
From April to the beginning of May fish on Oregon's Columbia, and Willamette Rivers for Oregon's famed Spring Chinook Fishery. Then, from May to July fish on Oregon's North Coast (Nestucca, Trask, Wilson, and Tillimook) and chase some of the biggest Spring Chinook in the nation.
In the summer months Riverhawk Guide Service also Charters in the Pacific Ocean. Reap the rewards of the Pacific Ocean, and catch Ling Cod, Dungenous Crab, Halibut, Sea Bass, and Salmon.
Silas Stardance is a local Northwest Fishing Guide who has lived on the Central Oregon coast for his entire life and has lived in Lincoln City since 1976. Silas studied Fisheries Science at Oregon State University. His passion for the area is transformed through his knowledge of the Central Coast Rivers and Estuaries. He has been a professional Fishing Guide since 2004. In addition to being a licensed Oregon Fishing Guide he also carries a 100 Ton Captains License with the United States Coast Guard. Silas specializes in salmon, steelhead, and near shore rock fishing adventures. He is based in Lincoln City, and frequents the Siletz, Salmon, Nestucca, Trask, Wilson, Yaquina, and the Alse River. He also fishes on the Willamette, and Columbia River for Spring and Fall Chinook.
